Pecan Newsletter – Summer 2024

Welcome to your quarterly Culture Fix

As culture experts, we are thrilled to share exciting news about our latest research project. We are developing a pioneering diagnostic tool which will give organisations the means to assess their cultural maturity and help them target resources to deliver improved performance, results and wellbeing.

The response during our research phase has been overwhelming, and we are currently in the process of analysing the data. We look forward to sharing our findings with you soon. Stay tuned by following us on LinkedIn for early insights and updates.

In addition to our research, there’s much more to explore in this edition. So, grab a cup of your favourite brew and join us as we review the highlights of the past quarter and dive into what’s new and noteworthy.

Are we taking wellbeing too far?

Pecan’s co-founder, Ella Overshott, recently featured in HRZone asking the all important question, is productivity and performance being neglected in favour of employee wellbeing?

Read the full article to find out how you can meet business needs, whilst also creating a fulfilling workplace for employees to flourish.

Ella suggests 4 recommendations to allow leaders to create a fair and inclusive culture.

If your organisation would benefit from a Culture Check-in to ensure you are getting the wellbeing balance right, please get in touch to discuss how we can help.

How to develop a learning culture?

“Change isn’t a one-off pit stop. It’s more of an open road trip, constantly evolving and demanding that you map out new routes on the fly” (Forbes, 2024).

In simplistic terms, a successful culture isn’t a destination, but rather an ongoing journey of continuous learning. At its core, your culture should be built on flexibility, agility, and innovation to navigate the twists and turns of your journey.

Traditional approaches often rely on reacting to change, leaving organisations struggling to keep up.

So how can we accelerate embedding learning into organisational culture?

Pecan’s co-founder, Andrew Loveless suggests that there are five cultural levers that cover most of the bases and will add up to a measurable difference.

Culture Pioneer Awards 2024

Pecan Partnership had the honour of sponsoring the Culture Pioneers Awards this year hosted by HR Zone as part of their #ExploreChange campaign.

It was such a pleasure to be surrounded by people who share a passion for creating a better workplace environment, and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing their inspiring stories that lead them to be finalists and winners. It’s wonderful to see just how far the movement towards a better workplace culture has come since we began over 11 years ago!
